词汇表中选取了100个单词，参考英文版的 Merriam-Websters Dictionary For Children、SCHOLASTIC Childrens Dictionary、MACMILLAN Dictionary for Children 

等词典，整理了这100个单词的历史注解，并邀请了帅哥Tim录了音频，以便帮助学生边听英语边练听说，同学们理解了单词的历史渊源，就能够进一步理解和掌握单词的用法，英英解释单词定义和历史渊源是激发学生学习英语的兴趣途径之一。

.First, listen to the definition of April（Apr.）. It means “ The fourth month on the calendar, after March and before May. April has 30 days.”.

Second, listen to the history of April. There are two different thoughts about the origin of the word April. Many experts agree that April comes from the name Aphrodite

（阿佛洛狄忒）, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.（She is variously described as the daughter of Zeus and Dione, or as being born from the sea. Roman equivalent Venus.

.In this dictionary, “April” means “the fourth month of the year. April has thirty days.”.As to the history of April, the English words for months go back to Latin, the language of ancient Rome. April is said to be from a goddess whose name was Aphrodite

（阿佛洛狄忒）,or it may be from a word for “two”, since April was the second month in the Roman calendar of ten months.
